Founded in 2012 in Lagos by Jeremy Hodara, Sacha Poignonnec, Tunde Kehinde, and Raphael Afaedor (incubated by Rocket Internet), Jumia is Africa's largest e-commerce platform. The company encompasses a multi-vendor marketplace, a logistics network (Jumia Logistics), and a proprietary payment processing platform (JumiaPay). Jumia became the first African-focused tech unicorn to list on the New York Stock Exchange in April 2019.
