Treepz (formerly Plentywaka) is a Nigerian mobility-as-a-service (MaaS) startup founded in 2019 by Onyeka Akumah, Johnny Enagwolor, and John Atumeyi Shaibu. The platform provides digital booking for fixed-route bus rides and has expanded into corporate travel and flight bookings to 210 destinations globally. Treepz raised a $2.8M seed round in 2021 followed by an additional $1.5M, and has been backed by Google, SOSV, Techstars, BRK Capital, and Shock Ventures.
