What it does
JumiaPay is the fintech arm of Jumia Group, Africa's largest e-commerce platform. Launched as a standalone payment and wallet app, JumiaPay was effectively wound down as an independent app in 2025, with transactions collapsing from 1.6 million in Q3 2024 to virtually zero in Q3 2025. The payment method remains available as an integrated option within the Jumia e-commerce platform, covering approximately 29% of orders.
